Description of Event
The Adirondack Balloon Festival began in 1972 by “the Biggest Kid at the Balloon Festival” (Maury Thompson), Walter Grishkot with assistance from volunteers and continues the same with community support to this day as a not-for-profit organization.
Balloonists from across the United States as well as internationally based pilots attend for the awe-inspiring views of the Southern Adirondacks.
The Festival takes place at the Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport located at 443 Queensbury Avenue in Queensbury.
Featuring a wide-array of balloons including special shapes. There is lots of family fun, activities and entertainment throughout the days of the Festival.

All Ballooning activities, including the lift-offs and Airport Moonglow are wind and weather permitting.
NO DOGS ALLOWED. Please leave your pets at home. This is for their safety and our visitors as well.
No drones or remote control aircraft are allowed.
