Stories

On the afternoon of August 12th, Burgoyne rode into their camp, met with Baum and then returned to his headquarters at the Duer House at Fort Miller. While waiting, the Indians and Germans scavenged through the countryside in search of food, provisions and valuable goods. Julius Wasmus reported Burgoyne's meeting with Baum, but there is no indication of what was said between the officers.
