Lakes to Locks Passage takes you through a spectacular landscape in upstate New York laden with history, nature, and recreational areas to explore. Find your way through three story-filled regions that connect the historic waters of Lake Champlain, Lake George and the Champlain Canal to the confluence of the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers.

Streams of history flow through these valleys, reflecting “lives,” that continue to unfold. Follow our thematic itineraries to visit sites and interpretive exhibits through the region, tracking the overlapping threads of the Four Lives of Lakes to Locks Passage.
