Description

This large bay is located to the west of Whitehall and has a fixed railroad bridge spanning its entrance. The bay is a popular boating area and offers ideal opportunities for wildlife viewing, including osprey and turtles.

Insider Tip from Paddlers Cathy Frank and Margaret Holden: "South Bay is a special place worth a trip all of its own. Full of surprises, the paddler can find sunning turtles by the dozens, other wildlife in and above the water, and distant views galore."
