Fees and Rates
$6 per car on weekends in early May and after Labor Day-Columbus Day. $8 for vehicle use fee Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

Description
Grafton Lakes State Park, on the forested mountain ridge between the Taconic and Hudson Valleys, includes five ponds and 2,357 acres. Long Pond has a large, sandy beach, which is a popular summer attraction. The other water bodies include Mill Pond, Shaver Pond, Second Pond, and White Lily Pond.
Long Pond beach includes several roped off sections each with a very shallow area and a deeper area. During beach hours there are lifeguards with stands in several strategic places along the shore. There are also several volleyball nets.
Learn to swim classes are offered during the summer, with free two-week sessions. Call the park office for more information: 279-1155
Don't Miss This When Visiting
All ponds have launch facilities for canoes, sailboats and rowboats-electric boats are allowed. Visitors also picnic, walk the nature trails, and hike, bike or ride horses along the 25 miles of park trails.
Our Beach Nature Center is open from 12-2 Fridays to Tuesdays. Meet local animals, make animal tracks in the sand, try out our microscopes and talk to the park naturalists.
