For generations, Thurman folk have endured the long Adirondack winters in anticipation of the change of season when the sap of maple trees to flow, and the community joins together for “Maple Weekends,” when several sugarhouses throw open their doors in March to welcome guests and initiate them into turning maple sap into nature’s finest confections.
